GOING GREEN AND DRIVING REVENUE for LOS ANGELES HOTELS

The Los Angeles Chapter of the Hospitality and Sales and Marketing Association International Los Angeles (HSMAI) hosted an event at the Los Angeles Westin Bonaventure on Tuesday April 21, 2015. Keynote speakers included Hilary Firestone from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's Office of Sustainability and remarks from Dave Hodgins, Executive Director, Los Angeles Better Building Challenge.
Topics covered were the business benefits of the Los Angeles Green Lodging Certification Program, a collaborative project that aspires to recognize hotels that implement green policies. Hotel management teams learned how the program can directly improve guests' experiences, enhance marketing opportunities, engage employees and occupants, and help you to realize significant cost savings. Other resources made available to hotels participating in the program, include free preliminary savings assessments, utility rebates and incentives,as well as certification assistance from industry experts.
