LABC 2015 SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT: CALIFORNIA LEADING
ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY

The Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) hosted the the Sustainability Summit: California Leading Environmental and Economic Sustainability at The Getty Museum on Friday April 24, 2015. The annual summit in it's 9th year has a been a forum for policy makers, business leaders and community members to convene and support the future of of a more sustainable future for the Southern California region. Distinguished Keynote speakers included Los Angeles City Mayor, Eric Garcetti, California State Treasurer, John Chiang and California State Senate President pro Tempore, Kevin de Leon.
The event was emceed by Val Zavala who is the Vice President of News and Public Affairs at KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, and anchor of KCET's weekly award-winning newsmagazine, "SoCal Connected." She has been at KCET since 1987 playing a vital role in the long-running news magazine, Life & Times, as well as other news programs and specials. Her work has won 16 L.A. Area Emmys, eight Golden Mikes and numerous L.A. Press Club awards.
