The original plan was to have an Academy Award themed trade show booth but what it soon turned into was a scene from the Godfather that included a rcalls to hire some New Jersey muscle, cops, and attorneys along with threats of physical harm and lawsuits.
It all started on a Friday when a rogue truck drive would not make the scheduled delivery to the Javits Conventions Center in New York City. This led to five days and countless hours of worry, negotiations, threats, and finally a call to a 400 pound, six foot 4 inch enforcer to physically track down the driver and truck 2 hours north of the city to hold him there until the cops and another truck arrived to transfer and transport the booth late on Tuesday evening.

DECO Lighting had gone through months of planning and spent over $100,000 to premier Versalite, their new lighting product, at the 2015 Lightfair International . They painted the fixtures gold to represent the gold Oscar statues. They created a red carpet entrance including a press back drop for taking pictures and
